Band Bio

The band consists of Mark Hance, the primary songwriter on guitar and vocals, his wife Nancy thumping the bass and singing backups and best friend "B" Simlins on the drum kit. 4 oz. Tummy formed in Norfolk, Va., as an extension of the close relationship of the members. The music exemplifies an eclectic range of alternative styles, with many influences across the musical spectrum, from Soundgarden to Beethoven.

For the last year 4 oz. Tummy has been playing at various clubs in the Tidewater area such as the Xenicks, Cogan's Instant Art, Kings Head Inn, and at Twisters in Richmond and the Abyss in Virginia Beach. 4 oz. Tummy is currently working on a CD that is scheduled for release in late 1996.

Fundamentally, 4 oz. Tummy is an exploration into the nature of consciousness.
