Ladies and gentlemen introducing cRITAL bILL. The band that ask the question "with alternative music the mainstream, what is the alternative to alternative?"With us,like Hank Williams, you'll see the light with our brand of high energy eclectic music that draws influences from Pop to Funk and everything in between. We are a quartet from the growing Mid-Atlantic music scene recording exclusively at Cyber-Sounds in Chesapeake, Virginia. While only having been recently formed, the members of cRITICAL bILL have collectively and individually played at some of the more notorious clubs in the region including: King"s Head Inn(Va); Twisters(Va); Mex-Econo(N.C.); J. C. Dobbs(Pa.); Friar Tucks(Va.); 4 and 1 Club(D. C.) 4400 Club(Va.) and many more. The songwriting team of Pete Raffetto on guitar and Billy Warren on vocals, lay the musical foundation, that is backed by an outstanding rhythm section of Stu White on bass and Robbie Sawyer on drums. The guitar playing is marked by Pete Raffetto's aggressive melodies and classic pop hooks. Billy Warren's vocals and lyrics are often clever, animated and always honest. Bassist Stu White's daring funked-up bass lines would urge even Bob Dole to dance a jig. Last but not least is the tuneful battering of Robbie Sawyer. Described as "looks like he's driving a truck" smoothly shifting gears over various musical landscapes and mowing over those who don't get out of his way.
