Espreso Otra Recopilacion De Canciones De Siesta

(Siesta 60)

Casual acquaintances might not think me qualified to make this statement. . .

. . . but '90's lounge is flat-out superior to the '60's variety.

The music tends to be less gimmicky, with far fewer extremes in notes and base of performers that pull from rock and jazz rather than classical.

My new favorite label, the Madrid-based Siesta, is probably the best exporter of '90's Lounge, and more than half of the songs on this recently-released sampler are chill-out champions.

Best are La Buena Vida's "Duice Y Callado" and Free Design's "Pat's Brother Woody."
